Between the beach and the harbour, this reserve is a magnificent stretch of shallow reef (best visited at high tide) that features a deep, coral-encrusted hole thronging with marine life. To reach the drop-off, swim out from the beach to the dark patch of water to the left of the marker stick. It’s around 100m from the shore, and you’ll need flippers and a snorkel to get you out there without damaging the coral (or your feet).
